Knacktive is an integrated, interactive marketing communications agency which incorporates the principles, strategies and tactics of design, marketing and public relations. This class is a melting pot of majors from the departments of Communication, Mass Communication, Marketing/Management, Art and Computer Science/Information Systems.
Within this course, students are separated into competing teams to create a completely integrated campaign, including: market research, consumer and situational analysis, objectives, creative strategies, budgeting, product planning, channels of distribution, pricing, collateral, promotions and public relations tactic development. Each team's work will be integrated into a comprehensive campaign and presented in a formal pitch to the client.
Upon completion of the course, students will have a professional outlook of a public relations/marketing/advertising agency with an emphasis placed on the importance of teamwork, developing creative projects under time restraints and understanding the demands of working for a specific client.
